Golden Corydalis (Corydalis aurea)
This small plant if often called "Scrambled Eggs". It grows to approx. 12" and has a cluster of yellow tube-like flowers. Blooming begins in March and goes until June. It is related to "Turk's Cap", putting it in the Fumitory family.. A very toxic plant, containing alkaloids, making it very toxic for livestock. Native Americans used parts of this plant to make a tea which eased arthritis pain (too bad we don't know their recipe) :)
"As the partridge sitteth on her eggs, and hatchet not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days and at his end shall be a fool."
Jeremiah 17:11 KJV
