Buckeye Butterfly

The Buckeye Butterfly is easy to identify by the "eye spots" on its wings. It has such a beautiful combination of colors and designs. Male Buckeye like to sit in dry creek beds and dirt roads in search of a mate. There favorite flowers are tickseed, lantana and rabbitbush.

Another of GOD'S clever design to protect HIS creatures ----the eye-spots appear to predators as eyes making them protected against birds and small mammals that might try to sneak up behind.

"And we know that all things work together for the good to them that love GOD, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose."
Romans 8:28
