Once the Beautiful Piney Woods of Northeast Texas

Recently the wildfires have taken their tole on our entire state. Here in Northeast Texas are the beautiful piney woods. Over 50,000 acres in our immediate area have been destroyed along with much wildlife.

Many home were destroyed as well. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who lost all their possessions. Remarkably no one in our immediate area was killed. We thank our hundred of firefighters who worked nonstop for over a week. We continue to pray for rain to prevent this from happening again.

The only bright spot to this tragedy is that in the spring when the rains begin, beautiful wildflowers of all varieties will spring forth as the forest renews itself. As light reaches the soil dormant seeds will burst forth in beautiful colors. All part of GOD'S plan.
