Creeping Spotflower
Here is a new find for me. It is a member of the Aster family and blooms from May through November.
Creeping Spotflower is a low-growing creeping, trailing plant. It is a herbaceous perennial and it loves moist muddy places. This one was found near a bayou that still had plenty of water, in spite of the severe drought in Texas. It is mostly found in eastern and central parts of the state.
Click for a closer view, it is quite pretty!
"And in that day will I make a covenant for them with the beasts of the fields and with the fouls of the heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground ...."
Hosea 2:18
