Indian Mallow

Member of Mallow Family
Blooms: March - December
This plant, also called "Pelotazo", grows in dry, mostly in open woodlands and prairies. Here, it is often found along the roadsides.
The tough fibers of it's stems can be used as cordage in weaving and making rope. The plant is often eaten by deer, sheep and goats. Young foliage is the laraval food for several species of tiny Skipper Butterflies.
"Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded."
Isaiah 19:9
