Broad-Leaf Snout-Bean

Member of Bean Family
Blooms: May - August
This vine is low, sprawling and twines around other plants in it's path. It's tiny yellow blooms are on a single stem that grows from the vine.
This plant if often found along woodlines and roadsides. It likes sandy or gravely soils and can take part shade. It's name comes from the Greek word "rhyncos", meaning snout, in reference to the shape of the petals of it's bloom. Click for a closer look.
