The woods are full of beautiful white dogwoods now as the Easter season is upon us. These pink ones are especially beautiful. The "Legend of the Dogwood" states that their blooms have four petals, 2 long , 2 short, symbolizing the cross. The center represents the crown of thorns. In the center of the outer rim of each petal is an indention with reddish-brown color which reminds us of the nail scars in HIS hands. Only a "legend", but still reminds us of this very special time of year.
"HE is not here: for HE is risen as HE said. Come see the place where the LORD lay."
