The Texas Bluebonnet is my very favorite wildflower. It is such a beautiful blue color. They do not grow wild in our area of North East Texas, our soil does not have the right nutrients for them to grow.
This one was found just outside of Jefferson, Texas. Someone had seeded the roadside by their home. They can be grown here, but require lime to be added to the soil. SOOOO beautiful!
The Texas Bluebonnet is our state flower.
