Recently I found this beautiful little wildflower growing along the woodline in front of our home. I have never seen it before and have not been able to identify it.
The flowers are about the size of a dime with very unusual characteristic of blue stamens. It was about 36" high and had long stems with one bloom per stem. It was in very dry, sandy, poor soil in full sun and was growing in a large clump.
I did discover a flower with blue stamens, "Bird's Eye Gilia" but the petal were more rounded and numbered five. If anyone knows the identity of this beautiful little flower, please leave a comment.
Thanks, Have a Blessed Day!! Watch closely, GOD is always putting something new out there for us to discover, if we will just take the time to notice.
