Checkered Skipper Butterfly

This small butterfly is very striking with its brown and black checkered pattern with white spots. It is 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" and stays close to the ground.

This one was feeding on my Clasping Leaf Coneflowers in the garden. My first time to spot this one. They can be found in weedy places and love to feed on clovers and members of the aster family.

Another of GOD'S display of HIS beautiful colors and design.

"O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches."

Psalm 104:24
