Wild Ginger

There are many types of Wild Ginger.
This one is very prominent in Malaysia, but is native to Texas, meaning it grows well here.
It can grow to about 6 ft and has these beautiful pure white flowers that have such a wonderful aroma. It's almost like Magnolia and Gardenia, but in a more suttle, softer aroma. They have long dark green leaves and have the look of the tropical plants.
Wild ginger is used for lots of medicinal purposes and used a a spice in cooking certain foods. Ginger roots have been said to cause reduction in inflamation and joint pain and parts of the plants for digestive disorders. This is a very beautiful plant.
