PERSIAN CLOVER

These tiny little blooms covered the ground near a creek bank. They are a member of th bean family and are low growing and sprawling. They quickly spread covering the ground with these pale pink-lavender blooms. The blooms are 3/8 inch in diameter and leaves are similiar to other clovers.

Persian Clover grows in lawns, edges of grassy areas and along roadsides. It can be found in north and central parts of Texas. This flower originated in the Mediterranean region. It is a winter annual beginning to bloom in early spring.

"And then that they had escaped from the sword carried he away to Bababylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia."
