Northern Cloudy Wing Skipper

Another pretty little Skipper perched on my Rock Rose in my garden.
After a cooling shower of rain, it stops off to drink a cool droplet of water.
The Northern Cloudy Wing Skipper is a mottled-gray brown with dark brown markings and a few white specks on its forewings. They range from 1 3/8" to 1 3/4". Very tiny and very beautiful. They love wooded areas and gardens. Their favorite flowers are mildweeds, dogbanes, self-heal and red clover and evidently, rock rose. Click for a closer look.
