Oakworm Moth

This moth is so unique. Its wings look like brown leaves making it blend in to its surroundings. Nature's way of helping protect her own from preditors.
Isn't it pretty with its rust colored furry body and leaf-like wings.
Thanks to a friend in Austin who identified this as the Pink-striped Oakworm Moth. This one has no pink stripes, but perhaps its a gender thing. In most species the male and female markings are different.
Thanks for the help!
GOD is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."
Psalm 46:1
