Wild Bergamot

This pretty plant is also called Beebalm and is loved by bees. The plant has a very pleasant pleasant odor.

Native Americans used this plant to treat heart ailments and insect bites. It was also used as a seasoning and in the preserving of meat. Today it is used in sachets and potpourris. It's fresh leaves are used for healing herbal teas and for flavoring foods.
