The Nearly Wild Texas Rose

Member of Rosa Family
Blooms: May - June
There are over 200 species of wild roses in North American, we have 12 in Texas. They are trailing roses and often very aggressive and cover everything in it's path. They bloom only once a year but are very beautiful and put on quite a show for a brief time.
My Grandmother had Seven Sisters wild roses in her yard and they were huge and covered with big bunch of beautiful dark pink little roses. Some are dark rose and some almost white. This is my favorite of the wild ones , the "Nearly Wild Texas Rose".
"The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein."
Psalm 111:2
