Antennaria Plantaginifolia. It is native to North and South American. They often grown in very poor soils, giving it another name of "Poverty Weed". It grows around trees and often in large patches. It has one bloom on the end of long stem about 8" tall. It's little blooms are white and sometimes pale pink. They resemble a cat's paw, giving it's name "Pussy's Toes".
