Eastern Dogwood

I posted Eastern Dogwood blooms back in the spring. This is from early fall this year. The leaves turn rusty-green and produce red berries. The berries are a source of food for wildlife. There is an abundance of berries and seeds on plants and trees this fall. The Hickory trees are covered with large nuts and there is a very abundant acron crop. It is said that when nature's plants produce a large supply of fruits and nuts that it is a sign of a very hard winter to come. Animals and birds begin to put their winter supply away for colder days. Just another part of the never ending circle of life by Mother Nature, planned by our great LORD to meet all needs, just as he promised.
