In North East Texas you can find Redbud trees growing everywhere.
They begin blooming in early March and shed their blossoms as soon as their leaves begin to come out.
They are a beautiful magenta color and are loved by butterflies. Their leaves are shaped like big hearts.
Very showy and very beautiful. I found this deep into the woods and several others scatterd around close by. Click on picture to see each tiny, tiny little flower.
