Hill Country Wildflowers

These were taken by our daughter, Kristy. These were taken at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. They are beautiful. Click on picture and you will see Black-eyed Susans, Echinacea, Lemon Mint, Standing Cypress, Firewheels ---- lots of beautiful stuff. Wish my whole yard was like this!!!

Bluebells

Member of Gentian Family
Blooms: June - September
The Bluebell is one of the most beautiful wildflowers and is native to all parts of Texas, except in North Eastern part, where I live. It's common names are : Purple Prairie Gentian and Lira de San Pedro. They will grow in gardens, but do best when started from seeds.

Member of Mallow Family
Blooms: April - September

These do well in full sun and will bloom all summer. They are in the Mallow family, this one is similar to the Okra bloom.
