Foxglove

Member of Figwort Family
Blooms: May - June
This a very beautiful plant and it was growing in my garden last summer. It got amost 5 ft. tall with beautiful pink-lavender blooms.
Foxglove was discovered over a century ago in Arkansas by a botanist named Thomas Nuttal. Early settlers brewed a tea from the leaves and used it as a laxative.
Other common names are "Fairy Thimbles", "Wild Belladonna" or "Beardstongue".
It takes full sun and does well in gardens .
