I love the wild mosses. They are so delicate and beautiful. This type grows on trees and appears as lush green velvet at a distance. A closer look shows each tiny "frond" which gives it it's name Fern Moss.
Other types grown on the ground and feel like plush carpet when walked on. The ground varieties can be found covering banks of streams and creeks.
