Blue-eyed Grass
These tiny little flowers are one of my favorites and not commonly found in our area. Blue-eyed Grass is a member of the Iris family and blooms from April thru May. The plant has long slender stems, reaching heights of 12 inches. Each stem has one to three flowers. These wildflowers can be found in open sunny areas and often in large masses. They grow in clusters of beautiful blue-violet blooms. On cloudy days the flowers will close up until the sun shines on them again. Occasionally they can be found in white. "The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and HIS ears are open unto their cry." Psalm 34:15
