Clasping-Leaf Coneflower

Member of Aster Family
Blooms: April - June
The plant is so showy and pretty. It grows upright with many blooms. The flowers are about 2" across and it's leaves clasp at the stem, giving it it's name.
It is similiar to the Brown-Eyed Susan, but has a red ring at it's center. Very pretty!! The visitor is the White Checkered Butterfly. These do well in gardens, seed need to be planted in the fall.
