Salvia

This is from my garden. I love the bright red color and so do the hummingbirds.
Salvia now comes in white and shades of pink to purple, but I love the red the best. If you will pinch off the drying flower heads, it will continue to bloom all summer. When fall arrives, the color becomes even more vibrant.
Another common name is Red Hot Sally. It is such a beautiful crimson red. Butterflies also love it.
Am checking everyday for new wildflowers. With all the rain and cooler temps we have been having, some are coming alive and soon will be fall ones. Just keep peeking and see what I find.
"Jesus paid it all,
All to him I owe.
Sin had left a crimson stain;
He washed it white as snow."
