Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly

This pretty thing was in my garden as I was watering late this evening. Butterflies often come to drink at watering time. Click on it for a close look at the beautiful detail.
Eastern Tiger Swallowtails are very common in North America, the only other more prominent is the Monarch.
There are two female types in this species, the yellow with black stripes and this black one. The black one is mostly found in our area of the south.
They love flower gardens and woodlands. They feed on milkweeds and other wildflowers. They especially love the Lantanas in my garden.
"Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary."
Psalm 96:6
