Painted Lady Butterfly
This is the beautifully detailed Painted Lady. As we have lots of yellow flowers blooming at the end of May, the Ladies are everywhere. They feed on many varieties of flowers but seem to love the yellow ones best.
The colors and design of this butterfly are remarkable, orange-pink, black and white spots on forewings. It is easily identified by the black eye-spots on the hind wings. This one is on the Coreopsis and they really love Black-Eyed Susans and Clasping Leaf Coneflowers. Butterflies are very hard to photograph as they are quick and always on guard against predators, and they think I am one! All I want to do is get a picture to share GOD'S beauty with everyone. I catch myself talking to them; "please be still", "don't move"-----sounds like I am a little crazy? Whatever I have to do, I am going to get me picture!! Nature is so awesome and so amazing. GOD certainly has a vivid imagination to design all the beautiful creatures and beautiful colors---each one different in a special way. A flower garden can be a peaceful, joyful place to think or talk to the CREATOR and just enjoy.
"These things have I spoken unto you, that MY joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full."
John 15:11 KJV
