Rosemary
Rosemary is a wonderful herb to grow in your garden and cook with. I love it when I just brush up against it and it releases a wonderful fragrance similar to sage.
I have had this plant for 10-12 years and it has never bloomed. A couple of days ago, I noticed that one branch had these beautiful lavender blooms. Hoping the entire bush will bloom.
In the Middle Ages, Rosemary branches were broken off and placed on the floors of homes. When walked upon, they gave off a wonderful fragrance. I found a legend telling a story that Mary placed branches of Rosemary in the manager to "sweeten" the bed for the baby JESUS. I don't know if it's true or not, but certainly interesting.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is CHRIST the LORD.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
Luke 2:11-12
