Our deer population has been drastically reduced this year along with other wildlife coming to feed.
Due to extreme dry conditions and 60,000 acres of wildfires in our immediate area last year they have moved to other areas.
We have this doe and twins that come almost everyday to feed on our green grass. We are glad to see them!! (Picture little blurred, they were not very trusting and "mama" was keeping an eye on me so I didn't venture too closely). We hope more will come as fall comes and we feed them. They are so much fun to watch as the fawns pitch and buck and run and ram each other. Just like little kittens playing, so sweet. Mother deer is always near and will fight to protect her young.
We are thankful for frequent rainfall which provides more vines and grass for them.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
