Clasping-Leaf Coneflower

This is very similar to the Black-Eyed Susan, only it has dark red around its center. It grows in large colonies and is so beautiful mixed in with your garden.

I planted these last year and they came up but did not do well at all. This year they are 3 ft. tall and covered with beautiful blooms. They love the full sun and are fairly drought tolerant. It is loved by insects, especially the white checkered butterfly and also the painted lady.

"Clasping-Leaf" refers to the way the leaves cling to the stems.

"A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together, a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing"

Ecclesiastes 3:5
