We haven't had any activity at the feeder since hunting season opened.
On Christmas Day the deer were at the feeder for the first time in a while.
There was no corn out so they stood there looking toward the house hoping someone would bring the feed bucket.
I took a bucket of corn and they moved back about 50 ft. and I filled the feeder and began to beat on the side of the bucket---- that's their cue that "dinner is served". As I left, they began to move back in and enjoy their Christmas feast. They have been coming back every day since.
We were happy to see that one of our bucks has survived the hunters. Only a few more days and season will be over and they can breath a little easier.
"The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies."
