Nothing is quite so beautiful in spring as the peach blooms. This particular one is the Indian Peach. When the fruit is ripe, the inside of the peach will be completely dark, maroon red in color.
My mother used to pickle Indian Peaches whole and they were wonderful!! She would put up many jars of them for us to enjoy in the winter time----if they made it to winter time!!
