This is such a pretty plant. It was about 10 feet tall and has both beautiful blooms as well as foliage.

It is a herbaceous perennial. In fall after the blooms have dropped it puts on a bean pod. When the pod is dried, the seeds rattle inside when blown by the wind or disturbed.

This is another plant that was discovered and name by the Scottish botanist Thomas Drummond in the early 1800s.
