Snow on the Cedars

We finally got snow here in North East Texas, soooo beautiful, but sooooo cold......not to mention we lost power for about 8 hours. We are thankful for a fireplace and lots of firewood on the porch. We cooked breakfast outside in our outdoor kitchen, coffee, hot biscuits and sausage. Was fun!!

This Eastern Red Cedar is in our yard. I planted it many years ago when it was about 12" tall. It is so pretty covered in snow.

"For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater."

Isaiah 55:10

all these snow pictures are beautiful, brenda. i'm jealous--if it's going to be cold, i want some snow to show for it! i am not jealous of the power being off for 8 hrs, however; that's all i've got here--no fireplace! i wanna build a snowkitty...
