Strange Mushrooms

When I went out today to bring in firewood, I found these strange looking mushrooms growing on a piece of hickory. Though temperatures were well below freezing, the mushrooms were soft and spongey. If you click on the picture, you can see where the squirrels have been nibbling on them.
In Mother Nature, nothing goes to waste. For everything there is a purpose and a season. I believe there is a message for all of us here, we as a whole are very wasteful people who have been blessed with so much. Take a lesson from Mother Nature and lets all try to not be wasteful and thankful for all we have.
"Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed."
Psalm 37:3
