Rosemary is an herb. It has a wonderful aroma. You can brush your hand across it and it releases a wonderful scent, a little like sage.
A legend says that Mary laid the baby Jesus' garments on Rosemary to get it's wonderful aroma. In the Middle Ages, rosemary was spread on the floor of homes at Christmas, as the people walked on it, a pleasant aroma filled the air.
