Dwarf Dandelions

Member of Sunflower Family
Blooms: March - June
Dwarf Dandelions grow in dry sandy soils in pastures, edges of fields, ditches and woodland edges and open areas.
There flowers are very small, 3/8" and very dainty. They open in the early morning during warm sunny weather. They often grow in large colonies. They are an early source of pollen and nectar for many small insects. Click to see their tiny detail.
