This fern grows in our yard. They feed through the bark of hardwood trees. Some large oaks have ferns all up to the top and out the branches.
When summer comes and the days become very hot and dry, the fern dries up and appears to be dead.
As soon as the rain returns, the fern comes back to life, thus, giving it's name "Resurrection Fern".
"I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die."
John 11: 25-26
