Prairie Phlox

Member of Phlox Family

Blooms: April - May

The Prairie Phlox, strangely enough, is very seldom found on the prairies. It grows along roadsides, dry slopes and in open meadows, usually in a large quantity.

It's colors range from pale lavender to pinks and magenta hues.

The common name of this plant is "Sweet William".
