Lizard's Tail

Member of Lizard's Tail Family.
or "Saururaceae.
Blooms: April - August.
I really love this one, so unusual. It grows only in marshes, ditches and often in water. It's name comes from Greek word "sarus" meaning "lizard" and Latin word " cernuus, meaning "turned toward the earth.
There is only one species of this plant in North American and we're lucky to have it in Texas.
