Crepe Myrtles are common in Texas. Our highway departments plant along roadside and interstates. They bloom in May - July.
In our little town in North East Texas, population 400+ there are Crepe Myrtles on both sides of the mian street all the way through town. They are just beautiful. Their colors can range from white, lavender, pinks and this beatiful hot pink, also watermelon colored. They make our little town so beautiful in summer. All of ours are this hot pink color.
