The Sphinx Moth

This large moth, about the size of a hummingbird was on my morning glories at daybreak today. As you can see in second picture, he was going deep into the morning glory reaching for sweet nectar.
Moths are nocturnal and hard to capture a picture of. They do not perch like butterflies, they hover and their wings are in constand motion, not making for a very clear picture. If you click on the picture you get a little better look. This one was so fast I was lucky to get this shot at all.
The Sphinx Moths have long coiled probosces which they extend while they hover, deep into flowers to reach the nectar.
