Slender Bush Clover

Member of Legume Family
Blooms: July - October
The Slender Bush Clover is blooming now and is very pretty. It grows in dry sandy soils of pastures, fields, fencerows, thickets and woodlands. These were growing along a back country road. Their tiny blooms are a blue-purple, almost rose color.
Legumes are very important in improving the fertility of the soil and the seeds of many species are important to wildlife, especially dove and quail.
"Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?"
Matthew 6:26
