Swamp Mallow

Member of Mallow Family

Blooms: June - August

This plant was in large quantities growing along the edge of a lake near our home. Their blooms are either white or pale pink.

This plant grows in coastal areas and in low, wet lands in East Texas. It is the most popular of the Mallow species in Texas. Some of it's relatives are Okra, Cotton and the beautiful Hibiscus. It's blooms are anywhere from 6 to 8" across.

"I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water."

Isaiah 41:18

Is it's bloom as big as the hibiscus? Very pretty.
