Blue Sage

Member of Mint Family
Blooms: May - November
This plant thrives in dry rocky, clayey and sandy soils on prairies, open flat areas, along woodlines of pine and hardwood trees and along embankments and oak and cedar slopes. It is a beautiful blue color and is really pretty mixed with the Brown Eyed Susans.
The bright blue flowers of the Blue Sage are striking in gardens . The foliage of the Sage is not as aromatic as that of most of the mints, nor are the stems as prominently square. Culinary sage is a native of southern Europe and is frequently grown in this country as a garden plant.
"For our heart shall rejoice in HIM, because we have trusted in HIS holy name."
Psalm 33:21
