Common Honeysuckle

Member of Honeysuckle Family
Blooms: April - Summer
I have pulled this one up from older picture on blog as it is in it's peak bloom time now. This vine will cover and twine around everything that gets in it's path. It is simply covered with yellow and white blooms and has a wonderful sweet fragrance. Late evenings the air will be heavy with their fragrance. They are loved by butterflies, hummingbirds and night moths, seeking their sweet nectar.
Click for better view of thousands of beautiful, delicate blooms. They do well in gardens also, just be sure to have something for it to climb on. It is also very popular food source for deer, especially in spring when leaves are new and tender.

did you ever get that one tiny little drop of nectar from the blooms when you were little?
