"The Yellow Rose of Texas"

The Yellow Rose is often associated with the state of Texas, though it is not the state flower. This one I'm happy to say is from my garden, as the yellow rose is my favorite. Please click on picture to see just how beautiful this rose is. This one is a dwarf rose and is very hardy and will endure through the winter.
There is a song written about the time of the Battle of San Jacinto in Texas named "The Yellow Rose of Texas".
The color of yellow often reminds us that Jesus is the Light of the World.
"For the LORD GOD is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in him."
Psalm 84: 11-12
