"No Vacancy"

Sitting on deck early this morning having coffee and a little brown House Wren darted into the birdhouse. I sat patiently trying to catch her on camera, but she was too fast for me. She was taking straw inside, so soon we will have baby birds. I tried to make the house "attractive"and "inviting" with her own flower garden and trimmings. Her rooftop is Spanish Moss, Purple Sages in barrel, yellow roses and a hot pink Ice Plant (from a friend). It's such fun to sit and watch Nature do it's thing.
House Wrens are very small little birds, but have a very loud "song". They make a "fussing" noise when they feel threatened, she was really singing at me.

I have little wrens in my birdhouse on the porch. Ms. Kitty sits in the window for hours watching for them to come close to the glass. Silly cat, but she does not drink coffee. ha.

Yellow roses are just going bonkers, aren't they? I bought one for myself & put it in the ground in Marvin's rose garden. It's off to a good start & the rain today will really help.
